EHR & Quality Outcomes

We just had to share with you this story (and video) written by John Lynn for EMR & EHR. It’s a very compelling piece on how one small town doctor uses a certified electronic health record and the national Meaningful Use Outcome Priorities as the foundation for her practice.

According to Jennifer Brull, MD, Physician Owner and CEO at Prairie Star Family Practice, “Quality improvement for me is some about my ego and making sure that I’m a good doctor, but a lot about taking care of my friends who also happen to be my patients.”

She is now able to gather data based outcomes which have allowed her to improve care and literally save lives.
